The first stage of a water purification system typically involves a sediment filter, which plays a crucial role in removing larger particles such as sand, silt, and sediment from the water. This not only helps improve the clarity of the water but also protects and prolongs the life of the filters used in the later stages, maintaining the overall efficiency and durability of the system. Alternatively, a carbon filter—either a CTO (Chlorine, Taste, and Odor) block or a GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filter—can be used to eliminate chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other harmful chemicals. These carbon filters enhance the taste and smell of water, making it more enjoyable to drink, using activated carbon technology for effective chemical absorption. The system package includes one faucet and one pre-installed PP blown or carbon filter, with optional upgrades available: add R150 for a CTO filter or R180 for a KDF GAC filter, depending on your specific purification needs.
